Dear Abby
It’s an adventure!
Never was much into shooting pistols. Although I grew up in a rural area on the Canadian border, pistols were sort of taboo and somewhat looked down on. Possibly because if the drinking culture there and we all know alcohol and guns much less handguns are not a healthy combination. Nevertheless over the last 2 years I have acquired 6.
Here is how it happened. My buddy who makes rush Limbaugh look like a liberal got in some hot water with his wife and had to move his reloading stuff. It ended up at my place with the instructions to play and experiment. It was 75% pistol stuff. So I had a thought. I figured if I bought myself a little 357 on the cheap I could go and have a little fun and I did. But Ii wound up hating that pistol. Couldn’t hit shit with it.
Then I remembered in the service we switched over to the m9 from the 1911 so I picked up an m9. Then I soon realized that single stage loading was not gonna work for me. So I bought a Hornady progressive. Got it to work. So then I figured the LE peoole were using 40 too and I was finding a good amount of 40 brass so I picked up another beretta in the 40. Then deer season came I wanted a 44 on the side and somehow I got sent a 357 in the same model. Retired the snub 357 and got the 44 coming in the same model. By this time I can hit a target reasonably well and now I’m out if room on my bench. So I overhauled my reloading process and area.
I acquired another progressive. Got my reloading mancave complete with fridge couple of east chairs. Tv. Realized I need a boolits casting area built a ventilation area. Got all that work done. So I decided to reward myself with a 1911.
Grandson came over for Easter we loaded up some ammo and we went out and bought a .22 pistol. Had a blast!
And now I curse the day my buddy brought his shit to my basement.
Whew!
Had some time to load a summer worth of ammo. So I did.
I mean what a ride.
Here is my question.
When frying venison is it better to use olive oil or butter?
Perplexed
