Feds are already well aware, so might as well share with people who might think it's cool.
Took it out and broke it in on some hogs last night. Came up on a sounder of about 10 (didn't get a good count) and sent 5 of them to piggy heaven. Or hell, because that's where they deserve to be.
Had a pretty hilarious malfunction too.
We came up on the hogs and my buddy told me I better have my rifle ready to go. "Start shootin'!" he yells at me. I hit the bolt release and aim at the biggest one. CLICK. I look at the chamber, still open. Something white is in there. My adrenaline is going, buddy is telling me I better start shootin', them hogs are running away. I pulled the white thing out of the chamber and threw it on the ground. Now I'm stuck with a double-feed. I drop the mag, get both rounds cleared, slap the mag back in and cycle the bolt. Aim, pull the trigger and CLICK. I'm like, "what the heck?!" Chamber is good, but while I'm checking the mag falls out. So I run back, grab the mag, buddy is still yelling at me to start shooting, get the mag in, cycle the bolt again and THEN I start wasting hogs.
It all took about 5-6 seconds but man, when your adrenaline is up and you've got targets in front of you, clearing malfunctions seems like an eternity.
Anyway, sure is nice to be able to carry on a conversation while shooting.
The white thing blocking the chamber? I had put the magazine in my back pocket before we headed out. I usually have a couple of earplugs in my pocket from work. One of them stuck to the magazine and made it into the action.
The above video was shooting at about 250yds (estimate). I have little practice at that range and I hadn't adjusted the scope.
