We had a small slip up and tumbled a large load of mixed handgun brass.. Caught it before things went really bad but still no fun.. Had 40 cal caught in 45 and 9mm stuck in 40.. most werent bad but some are looking like they are headed for the scape bucket. Used the whack a mole on the 45s and lost 4 that just arent coming apart. The rest took a few whacks before spitting out the smaller case. Same with the 40s with the 9mm stuck in them but we just started on that pile. when we dumped the tumbler I am guessing 60% were still separated and I put them in a smaller buzz bucket to finish.. My hand is sore from the pounding but I also didnt wait for help I just started doing it. Got the kids in with the 40/9mm and will have more for later LOL.. I didnt say much at the start - not like I havent done it in the past but they small batches so I cant be mad at them. Finally got around to cleaning the handguns too... I am liking the Bullseye powder so far too, cleaner then the old loads we have been using for years.. about the same for accuracy too..
I did manage to keep all my nickle 45s, will reload them and keep them separate now.. Now I need to powder coat some lead RNs for the 1911s to practice with and save the FMJs for now. I need to check on the rifle brass, so far I have more than a few 35 whelen cases AOL.. easy to remedy but still want to know if they are mixed in with others.. Going to need to whip up more blkout cases too.. they must have had way to much fun.. or I am just over looking that container..
