a unicorn. Gave a bill in the blind for a Win mod 275. Was told it had been setting behind refrigerator in basement, since day one basically. Didn't have time to look it up and was pretty sure Winchester had something like a rimfire series. I asked if it was rusty and he said,,, Some. Any Win rifle is worth hundred bucks right? He brought me the rifle , cleaning kit and Zebco 33. I bet my eyes was shinning bright when I saw it at a distance but after thanking him / bye, O Dear. The inside of barrel looked like a 60 year old water line, on the inside of it also. Always wanted a smooth bore 22 any way .
Never seen one in my life and pretty neat pump 22 magnum. Sad to get such a thing and almost sure that it was ever fired or hand full. Coating is still on bolt and bottom end. Rest was almost 17 cal cleaning rod material. Got down to metal and removed butt stock. Soaked the huge blanket yarn in kerosene and tube of ell cheapo emergency tooth paste. Threaded through barrel and took a little walk. Half way cleaned with #9 and brush. SOB, no way,, there is some lands. I plugged the end and filled with off brand wd40. From what I've read, they was made to compete with Rem/others and wasn't the most accurate thing to start with. It is rainy again so why not restore and make it quarters or less at 100 yards.
One thing I need some major help on would be. HOW just HOW, do you get the pump off. Cant find good info anywhere yet.
