This is about stupid as it gets but wildcats is fun. Slightly overbore throat smoother outer. Here is what im thinking and all thoughts is welcome. This will need the best of our thinking and calculation that is beyond my head.
Take the 22 creedmoor case and 30 degree shoulder. Give it some more neck but not a mile. 25 or so inches of pipe and might just need 23.5 or 24. Not sure if pressure range would be around 48,000 to 52 or 60,000 to act right. Twist for something along the 39 to 45 grain pills. Sierra or Berger design ogive and length lover. I did say the 6.5x300 WYB was about the worthless nonsense, so I need another. I truly feel like it will hit 4400 but then again, I'm thinking it will take 40 to 48 grains of powder to do a few more hundred fps , compared to what the 204 will do with 25 grains. I haven't dug around and bet there is already something very similar but not made or thought about by us. Not saying anything like the 264RLB but asking for knowledge beyond what I have. Not even sure if I could get 40 to maybe 51 grains of something to burn safely. WYB mag Over Bore,,, HA. This will be well beyond that. Might be crazy but thinking Varget, R16, R23, N540, 4955 for best burn. Bullet needs to be set in case mouth correct and not the ogive below the damn end of neck, like some. Straight down the pipe and reduce gasses rolling out on pressure curve. Jump is something I would like to keep to a min because it will only see one certain bullet, out of two. I don't need a mile of jump or free bore because Sierra and Berger are most times similar, for their needs. Barrel set back is picking at me. Throat will go before lands , so would it be a benefit to leave some meat on the bone for chamber work.
If this works, I really don't see a real short barrel life,, if taken care of. No back to back firing and clean every 5 to 8 rounds.
