The grandson put the rest of us to in our place today.. Ok, this isn't his first target but it was still good for warming up. I didn't shoot a rifle today and my score with the 44mag was ok but nothing like this. he put tater up in a hurry, should have knew it was coming they been messing with each other pretty hard about who is best and to be honest tater always out shoots him. He out shot tater and Tom both and then just let it go, he didn't rub it in like I was expecting.. Mom wasn't there and got a little twisted that she missed it. This is only his 4th or 5th time to actually shot the TC in its now rifle configuration - she paid the David Van Horn dude to fit the stock to him and its adjustable for him as he grows. Just no forestock well not one of his own. the forestock off Toms TC BP rifle fit the bull barrel well enough.. If it was wood it might stay but as it is a plastic fore stock with a wood buttstock just looks funky.. I teased her about we could just paint it - not even going where she blew up to... Enough of that trail
The boy has been practicing his trigger control and breathing with it for a few months. I think it all came together today in a big way. He shot it 15 times and "he" will reload them this time if I will watch and not let mom in the room when he does it. We all seem to have a little OCD but she is anal to the max and I guess he sees it too.
Anyway this is what he shot on his "not practice" round LOL. Tater got so flustered he was shooting 3 in groups and they just never got better. They are coloring eggs for the Angeled Eggs for tomorrows dinner at the church.. then we will have the cross hunt.. no we do not hunt eggs at church the kids hunt small crosses for prizes. The gold ones are the big winners - but there are no losers either... I have been told to stay out of the kitchen so I been supplying the boys with ideas -- like the cracked egg Angeled Eggs.. LOL back to subject, here is his target
EDITED to add: the load is not going to be posted as it is above the book for this rifle but as you can see with some tweaking it will be a good one.
