thats my wife on the right... the newly adopted boy is on the left... LMAO
actually, he's being "fostered" at the moment? but, his adoption papers as i jokingly call it, are so far looking good.

"fostered" is an upgrade from his original status? i literally cat-napped him. when i called my buddy in the middle of the night on a cold call to come pick me up from the "work site" me and Takky were stuck at... i mean i was literally sneaking out to basically escape more or less?? i felt bad leaving him... i snuck back and catnapped him, took the a-hole a WEEK to figure out he was missing. (so i know how well he was fed, not at all...)
the owner? hates cats and the on;y reason its alive, is that his baby daughter wandered out seconds before it got dusted... so, he dropped it off down the work house site. with me and takky... now, takky *literally* almost killed her 3 giant brothers and her sister? to claim me and my house... and she continued on this "plan" her whole life, so, i didnt have high hopes for it "working out". I tried several times, nothing doing.
by some miracle? Takky tolerated him from day one, i aint never seen this out of her before. Now, he is "mister personality" and everybody likes him, hes one of those cats that just rubs on you and leaps onto your lap or even onto your shoulders, and wants to wallow on you purring. This is the cat i had to fish out of the WELL there, at some nominal risk to my own safety going down in to get him, he was out of steam and going under when i got him. i had seconds to act, and if i hadnt pulled it off? we would both be dead, as no one knew we were down in the well. (mind you? takky looked down the well one time, and never went near it... in almost 2 years. His second day? PLOP!)
i couldnt believe it, Takky taught him hunting lessons, i mean it was obvious. She also taught him to not act like a young cat? he learned to approach, wait patiently to be recognized... they exchange talk, then upon "approval" he is allowed to touch noses and lay near her... if he doesnt do it "right" he gets clouted 1 or 3 times but no claws out.
neither one ever put claws out "discussing" things, i couldnt believe it. Now this? they lay together
============================
i always dreamed of Takky having a friend or two, she would never hear of it. THIS boy cat? i dont understand it, but, wow.
my PLAN was always for her to have "backup" keeping other cats out of the house? this is the first time the idea ever "flew".
He was young and starving dropped off? i always make sure my cats have unlimited "buffet" 24-7... so, he's packing on weight but i dont know how big he will get. He's been tearing into other male cats coming around like i always wanted. Takky always did fight any other cat coming in the house "airborne ranger" style, IE, "death before dishonor"... the BOY is doing it too now.
the OPTIMUM part? heh heh... when one of them starts raising hell? The OTHER goes running out and provides backup, and they are "sneaking" up on intruders like 2 SWAT team members advancing forwards, ha ha.
far as i'm concerned? this is the best thing to come out of that whole couple year long "fiasco" staying there.
so, originally? i kind of kidnapped him... dang cat was smart enough to HIDE when my "buddy" came over. he finally knew, and i flat out told him the cat aint going nowhere. i had to promise to buy or find a replacement "small black cat" for his daughter to have later on. This got him a "foster daddy" as he belongs here now, no more hiding.
after replacing the cat with another black one to fool his 3 year old daughter? i will call it "full adoption".
