Ive been thinking hard for a week on what I want to feed the 6.5 Creedmoor. I came up with four so far and who's to say that it might adore a 120 or so pill but think I will start with one of these.
Sierra MK 142 ---- .595 bc
Nosler AB 140 ---- .509 bc
Berger 140 Hunting bullet ---- .612 bc
Hornady ELD-X 143 ---- .620 bc
Since I have had such good luck with plain out stupid accuracy with Bergers,,, I think it will be my first to try. I also love Nosler Accu Bonds. I haven't looked at Barnes yet and really like them also. Since my dumb butt bought a 20 barrel, I know it will never reach the 2800 mark and that's fine. Beside, I didn't trade a 14 pound rifle for this compact rifle,,, for nothing. I just wanted it for no rime or reason and to maybe hunt with, out to 600 yards and be very accurate, buck the wind and easy on barrel life.
Powder choice is up in the air so far and will start with H4350 or such. Something is telling me deep down to try something that most would laugh at. That is a magnum type powder and most definitely FED match primers or CCI BR. 4000 MR and N160 , keeps jumping in my head,,,, along with R17. H4831 is another and this will be a learning lesion for sure. FPS is way down in this short pipe so I don't mind losing another 50 for spooky accuracy. Paper and the chrony will tell the facts , when the time comes. It wouldn't be the first time that I found a good slow burning powder to work very well ,, when books claim other wise.
