Ok, I am being blessed again. Had a friend croak on us and I was expecting some down time so things could settle. Well that thought got shot down today. The guys wife called me today and told me to come get his guns out of the house today, please. Story on that is his only child died of cancer 8yrs back and the grandson has a rap sheet so long he really cant even go over there legally because of the firearms in the house. They are locked up tight in a small gun safe but it depends on what branch of LEO show up there when he is there. So she wants them out, after some discussion on the price we settled on an agreeable amount.
Anywho, I am buying it all, will be going after the safe and all the weapons tomorrow morning. The list runs like this. 3 rifles, Rem 788 in 243 and if my memory serves me it kicks like a mule. A Sears M53 in 30-06, has the look of an old WIN M70, and a Marlin model 60 in 22LR. Two handguns an RG 66T with both cylinders 22LR and 22 Mag, and the CZ 52 in the said 7.62x25 Tokarev. I have never handled one of these before, anyone out there got any pointers, as in how to break it down without breaking it, it happens at times. I have reloaded the 7.62x25 round but not for a pistol, was working on a 7.2x25 subsonic round for a friend. In a word this will be new for me and I do not want to screw it up before I even get to play with it.
Found a manual on it on evil bay but it is cheap enough I am not expecting much out of it. Book claims to be the do it all book -- yeah right I drove a turnip truck a few times so I know the spiel. No joke there I have actually hauled a few loads of turnips in my day LOL but still....
Now for the sake of sanity -- remember this is the semi automatic pistol forum so if you have comments on the other please use proper forum for those...
