A man that I worked with is blowing my phone up on what kit to get. Ive said the RCBS about 5 times but he keeps saying,,, I can up grade later. He has found a LEE 4 hole press, pistol and rifle kit for $129.95
I have nothing against LEE but would this be a good kit for the STARTER? I know the scales suck but know nothing about the rest. He makes good money and I keep telling him to spend the 320 or so for the RCBS supreme kit and get dig scales later down the road. Heck, they might even make a kit that comes with digital but that would really blow his mind. Im lost and cant make him do anything. I just don't see starting out with BLA and then paying another BLA for what ever when he can do it right,,, the first time.
This whole thing got started because Chris loaded him 10 rounds for his 22-250 last week. After he shot them,,, HE HAS THE BUG. All ten shots stayed in a dime at 100 yards.
Well, id better back up. 5 shots stayed in a dime after he moved the scope and shot for a group. Chris told him not to worry about siting in but he done it anyway and the last five was in the SHOOT & SEE dot. YEP,,, HOOKED ON ACCURACY NOW. The man is getting to fast for me and asking about how the load that Chris made will work,, pass 100. I cant tell him and have no idea how fast its moving. Im guessing that Chris put my old time load of 35.5 or IMR 4895 in it with a 55 grain NBT or a 55 V-MAX. Not sure and haven't called him,,,, but knowing Chris,,, he probably reduced it down a tad and just didn't jump on a good ole time load,,, Knowing better. Any way,,, the man has been bit by the accuracy bug and I think he should get a simple single stage RCBS KIT.
What you all think?
