Well I had to test the rifle just to make sure it was still on.. It has been converted to the 209 priming system and I use Blackhorn 209 in it.. The boys ran to town with granny so I did a quick 2 shots and had it cleaned and on the table when they got back.. Got the "look" from both because they didnt get to shoot it too... My mind is way to slow some days - should had had the phone ready for the priceless faces when I told them I shot it. I have no idea if the bullets it likes are even available today -- I bought a hefty supply way back for just it.. Then of course I got bigger bores to play with so the bullets have lasted.. I bought them from cheaper than dirt back when the name was a lot closer to reality than they are now... The original load was 75gr 2F ( by volume), I weigh the blackhorn on the scales - I cant speak for others but for me a 2gr difference by doing it in volume does give me flyers... Any who here is the picture of my results.. Its still well in the minute of deer it has always held... I love the blackhorn for the simplicity of cleaning and if you are testing you can get an easy 20 shots before even swabbing the barrel, and then its not really dirty.
Seven, the kids are involved whether I want it or not... but in reality if they are not around I do feel lonely at times.. they are not like the wife --- I like her but she is not as much fun... I am kind of like George Burns said I dont hang with old people because they will make you get old.. Wife has been retired 3 weeks now and has figured out its not all roses.. Telling me I need to make her new shelves for some odd project she is thinking about starting -- I told her when the table if full of that project I will have the shelves built before she has her first whatever finished... The boys backed my up too by running out before I got started, I think they have better visions that I do at times.. They run from fire I seem to want to add fuel...
