This is far from a full review from me and played very little with it. Im very pleased at the moment and worth every penny of the 300 bucks. Search around and no need to pay 370 to 440 for it. Glass is very clear for the price and reticle. Side focus is very close to the marks for settings and could care less about that anyway. Side focus / parallax is pretty darn good and you can move your head around all over the place,, and reticle doesn't bounce around when set for clear picture. Very little I should say and not a 1500 buck scope.
What little tracking I did,, seems to be fine but far from a real tracking test. I got lucky and my first shot at 25 yards was about perfect left / right and 6 inches high. I ran the turret to the bullet hole, and it was there on the second shot. Took it straight to 100 yards but moved the turret down five clicks because I knew it would be 3 or so inches high. It seemed to come straight down but tracking will be done on a differ day. High power setting is a shade blurry at close range,, no matter how you set the parallax and id say that is normal for the cost. 6 to 16 power is clear as can be at 25 to 100 yards. Get above that and things change, a tad. 15 yards to infinity is nice and this would be a damn good scope for close range on 22's or precision air rifles. Most high power scopes doesn't go down to 10 or 20 yards, for parallax. Many do but just saying.
Power setting knob is very tight and bigger than it needs to be. Im truly trying to say something bad but cant yet. Scope caps are junk and not sure why they made them that way and fits in groves. Cant explain it in words but could be done better. FFP is pretty cool but wish the recital was a shade thinner and can see it covering up a 1" dot at 300 yards,, if ran up to 24 power. Not sure and just thinking aloud. Only a few hours so far and seems to be right with a 550 to 700 buck Vortex,, that ive played with. One other thing and don't care for the ugly place that you put the battery in, for the ILL Ret. More to come and will damn sure hold nothing back on it. I don't praise anything, until I have tested it for a few months. So far, I give 4 stars if not 4.5 ,,, for the price and paid way over half of that on simple 3x9 Leup rifleman scopes that was nothing but a pain in the butt to site in. Them and cheaper Nikons are great but you don't just turn the dial and get positive results.
I shall be back with pictures of tracking and such,, when I get things at its best.
