Big Joe, lemee check to see if I have any of the Green Rem RPX hulls. I KNOW I have a tote box full of the Activ hulls, and a bunch of Win AA hulls. I am holding onto all of the Federal Gold Medal once fired Paper Hulls I can find, and the same in plastic.
Hint:
For clay bird shooting or for any 1 1/8 oz load you want to use tapered hulls like the Winchester or Remington.
For any hunting loads where you will be shooting 1 1/4 oz or heavier, you want to use the strait walled hulls like Federal Gold Medal or Activ Plastic if you can find them.
Don't use any hulls that have a brass coated steel base. They will be a PITA to resize and load.
Also, Fiocchi hulls are a wee bit different than other hulls in regards to the primer pocket. You can only use Fiocchi premers in them, and if you use Fiocchi primers in any other hull, you won't be able to use anything else in those hulls again.
I have had Fiocchi base was migrate up from the bottom of the hull and THAT wasn't nice... Increased pressure all over the board because the internal volume was different.
When you adjust your wad ram, remember that it needs to be adjusted for every different height wad you use. i.e. if you use a wad for a 7/8 oz load then swap to loading for 1 3/8 oz, you will have to adjust the wad ram height.
You want the crimp to be closed at the center where the "petals" meet, but you don't want them making a "swirl" at the center. You want the center to be crimped about 1/16"-3/32" deep. Use a 8 or 6 finger pre-crimp tool in the reloader according to how many crimps that particular hull has. Paper and plastic hulls require a slightly different crimp and they usually have a different number of "petals" or "fingers".
If the crimp is leaving an opening that a pellet can fall out of, either reduce the amount of crimp depth or put more of a taper on the end of the hull where the crimp is, that should give you more plastic available to fill that hole.
