Big Joe: Spot on, "with good friends are few and far between" I often tell people I can count my friends on one hand and still have fingers left over. That usually produces a few odd expressions in a crowd of people whom all think they are your friends! LOL I don't need to worry or guess who is at my side for when TSHTF, I know!
I don't have a BP cannon, But I do have an Acetylene and Oxygen cannon! I thought the spud gun was a cool idea and all, but when you can launch the whole 5 or 10lb bag of potatoes out the end, Now your onto something ! LOL
I used an old 6'x8" piece of scrap sch40 pipe I had laying around, welded a 1/2" end cap on it.Then welded a flat plate 3/8"x6"x8" on the bottom side of the pipe 8" up from the end, to clamp in my truck vise. Then put a small hole on the top side 1" from the end just big enough for the torch tip to fit in.
Then I made a wad from a chunk of old car seat foam and stuff that down the end of the pipe 12" and load whatever will fit in the end of the pipe. The Acetylene/Oxygen mix takes a little practice until you get it just right.
When I have the gas mix just right, it will shack my 12,000lb welding truck, and the pipe will have a high pitched ringing noise to it. Then there will be a little back burn howling noise from a little of the unburned mix left in the pipe. It"s really something to see and even better at night with the fire blowing out the end and ear plugs are a must!
