I have the Hi Point C9 for several years and it's been a great pistol,I gave $125 for in NIB with two mags. Had a few hiccups with it at first as it doesn't like light handloads but other than that it's been flawless. Mine shoots best with cast bullets in .358 dia. range as I tried several of the Lee bullet designed for the 9mm and none shot very well lot of keyholing to be frank. I wasn't PC'ing any bullets at the time which probably would have fix that issue with the Lee molds but I sold them off and bought a Lee 125 gr. RN design for 38 spec. that works great. It's very accurate with both cast as well as plated bullet in the 125 gr. range.
I also have the Hi Point 45 ACP carbine my brother bought me as a gift,he along with my dad have one as well and they are all great shooters. The only problem I had with mine is the rear sight had to be adjusted so far to one side and I just didn't like that much so I just removed it and replaced it with a old Tasco 3 MOA Red Dot I had lying around, plan on putting a better quality one on it before spring with a more defined dot. The thing shoots very accurately and everyone that has shot it really likes the gun,if they shoot accurately and function reliably I don't care what they look like. I'm considering putting a set of flip up backup sights on the gun as well, has anyone tried those?
The carbine shoots the Lee 200 gr. SWC and the Lee 230 gr. RN very accurately,PC'ed,tumble lubed or on the SWC just using tradition lube.
