That's crazy. I had red hair and piles of it. Went bald at 20 years old and dad did also.
The boss went nuts this morning when telling me to hang tight this weekend for calls. I looked at him and said, your turn bud and im fishing. O mercy dear, he went nuts and said , no way in hell that I was fishing in 18 degree temps. Kirk spoke up and said you want some pictures boss,,, I will be with him too. Last thing I heard was fishing doesn't make money and y'all are f ing crazy.
Might be but bet we catch our limit and my weekend off. 25 degree here now and the morning should be very nice. Crazy maybe but we love to fish and a little cool air will never stop us. Well, not yet any way. Getting ice out the eyes is the fun part and keeps others away. I hate winter in general but not when it comes to trout fishing. Busting your A$$ on icy rocks is something you learn real fast to stay away from and spot them pretty quick. Not always but best to test them first with caution.
I hardly ever fish by myself in temps like this because its best to have a buddy if something goes wrong. Dad gives me heck also but if you are young and able, do it and don't talk about it. Talking is wishing and doing is getting it done. I wouldn't set in the woods tomorrow for the biggest buck ever, but I will catch a stupid trout or six.
The cold water takes some fun out of it though. They don't fight as hard and takes the flopping around out of them, once out of the water. Its still better than work or setting around, feeding the wood stove or face.
