I have many but keep going back to Nikon. More Nikon here than any others and they swear that if they get dropped or whatever,,, THEY WILL REPLACE OR REPAIR.
About 12 years so far and never had a problem at all so I don't know about their costumer service. I see this as a good thing and they track pretty darn true when moving for site in. I truly despise my Leup 3x9 V 2 when siting in. Move it one mark and it might not move at all. Move it another and it might jump 5 freaking inches. Better have 30 rounds and plenty of time to get it zeroed. Once you do,,, you couldn't throw it off a roof and have to re adjust it.
I like scopes that click for some reason and 99 percent of my Nikons do. Not saying they are perfect by far but damn good for the money spent. Most are PRO-STAFF and they was 99 to 169 bucks. I just found sales on Optic Planet or somewhere with free shipping. Got some Buckmasters and a few higher end Monarch's.
I truly cant say that the three Lueps I have is any better and cost twice as much.
Now I should turn the page because I have never been on a hunt from hell and in crazy environments. The Nikon might let you down for all I know but they surly haven't let me down in 18 to 94 degree weather and just normal hunting or bench shooting. All knows that im a bench shooter more than a hunter but have punished a few over the years. Dropped in rocks, snow, creek and other things. Got drunk one time and left my 308 on top of a mans truck. We pulled off and heard something and it came to mind, of what is was. My browning was laying in the road with gravel stuck in the stock and scope dented to hell.
O well, over and done with and killed a deer at 300 plus yards,, a few hours later. Zero was still dead on, after a 5 foot drop. I sold that rifle because I couldn't stand to see a pretty browning torn to hell. Wasn't my favorite rifle from day one anyway. That bastard would shoot a 110 V-max with H322 crazy good but hated most heavy pills. I still have the scope and put it on my 218 bee.
