Well putooty, no hunting tomorrow. So far today it has rained 4 inches here and the news says 2 1/2 inches in town and its still raining. With K's help I am now shooting under 1 1/2 inches all the time. She shot my rifle and she had it under an inch with 5 shots. So she has declared I just need more practice now I have the major parts worked on. She did tell Joe its his turn to make sure I don't go back to my old habits and screw things up. She can be a little forward sometimes, especially if she can be right doing it.
We settled on the 165gr Nosler Partition and 58.5gr of the Hunter powder. Joe told me if I post the load I got to make sure I say don't use it in your rifle. SO, don't use this load without consulting a load book and then I cant be responsible if you do use it. It works in my rifle but that is mine and I started lower and worked up to this one.
As for his car, he said it runs on gas HUH? the gas it uses is airplane fuel and it costs a fortune. But then that's why he doesn't get it out but a few times a year. They have a run what you brung thing at the -almost- local drag strip and he does that he goes to. There are a lot of old school cars at those, some are really neat and I have seen a few in old magazines. I do know that before he built this one he had a red roadster (hope that it right) that he ran every weekend he could afford it. Mom tells stories about them eating bean all week so he could buy fuel for the first day and if he won enough money he would race on Sunday. I have saw the picture of him on a better race, he is still going straight, I guess he went sideways a lot. HaHaHa!
