Well fuzz I got nothing now.... Yes it is small but it's prefect, just fit the smoker in two halves. Got it set for 220 degrees with smoke on the first 2 hrs and will check and maybe wrap it in the morning.
As for her shooting, once she got ahold of the 222 she was hooked. She now understands why we reload. At first I let her shoot 5 factory green box RP 55gr sp. They did ok grouping about 1 1/2 at 100yds. Then I set her up with the reloads at 200 and when she found out she could keep them under MOA with ease she perked right up. Then after she shot my 308 hunting rifle, a 700 with a 22in with what I call a heavy sporter taper and using her loads it shot great. Then she shot her rifle with the blasted recoil reducer in right she went to town after some emergency stock reworking. That is the one good things about shooting with pros I guess, he was 50ft away and saw what the problem was. I never thought of checking that. But then I have never had that problem pop up, or if it did I chased it the wrong way I guess. As for Paul's rifle, break down is: Rem 40x action, sleeved and fully prepped. He shoots one load in it, never varies except for when his notes tell him to adjust for humidity or temp. He and J will be good friends they both are paper trail freaks. I think the trigger is set at whatever minimum is for his class. I know when I was "allowed" to shoot it my first shot was accidental. I'm saying its less than 8oz easily. I think the rifle was built in 1994 but not sure about the date, it wears a the target bases that threw J off. The scope is pretty much standard target scope it just rides in a snazzy mount system. As for the deer and my cocky arse attitude, it was only 60yds at best and with the deer quartering away I had the whole side to aim at. I figured either a clean kill or a bust for sure. The other doe didn't run off either, that's why I had Ty put it up. I got lucky, she bleed out on the inside and I wasn't pushing my it any farther. Right now Ty is gathering up the cleaning goodies so we can show J how to do it properly, this should be good him telling her how. Almost as funny as him correcting her at the range, but he was 100% right about his approach and firmness. He wasn't snotty but he didn't back down either. One thing the others have taught him is stand up on the range if its wrong its wrong period. Speak up and don't let someone else get hurt by being quiet. The liver was great stick roasted on the wood fired grill took the grate out and just used the wooden wienie roasting sticks we have and cook them well done and dip in and BBQ/ raspberry jam mixed dipping sauce and go again. J went as far as the heart the kidneys not even going to happen. My and the boys grazed through the heart and kidneys pretty quickly, with the youngest not turning his nose at anything pawpaw will eat. Well, time to clean guns.
