I always had a fascination with these things.
as a young kid? i had one of those lever action one-pump things... not the red ryder? the red ryder was a step UP... i had the lesser one, lol... you could watch the BB in flight, and beer cans whe i ws a kid were still STEEL most of them? they were not penetrated. i liked the aluminum ones, as i might get penetration on the thinner newer aluminum cans.
There was a c02 one i the garage too? i didnt like it, the co2 cylinders cost money, and the other kids 10-pumps were free to shoot and more powerful.

in my 20s?? i went thru a 2nd childhood, and realized "hey! I'm an adult! I can buy a 10 pump bbgun and no one can tell me NO! Whee!"... so i did... daisy 880
this puppy i 20 years old? and i JUST re-oiled the seal and it started working again. I also picked up a break action adult pellet rifle chinese one? its giving up the ghost... i am now learnig about the things, and i think it must need either a new seal, a new sprig, a oilig of the seal?? or maybe just a o-ring chamber seal. (i don really care about it... it was really cheap, from a travelign chinese tool show)

i recently acquired a 150 dollar 177 caliber adult break action springer. it is doing (accordin to honest independent reviews) close to 1000 fps with lead pellets.
its okay, i guess.

i recently picked up a "switch barrel" break action springer. The wal mart BEEMAN that comes with the 177 AND the 22 barrels... i immediately switched to th 22 barrel for the first test firing.
with all of about 6 shots thru it? at first blush i like it. supposed to b doing about 800 and some fps for lead 22 pellets.
between the 22 ammo shortage, and the UK-england boys doing night vision with adult pellet rifles? my interest in this in starting to rise some.
i would LIKE to get a "solid 1-inch group" at 25 yards with a pellet rifle... without spending too much money on one. i would like to put some smackdown on mice, rats, and whatever other small pests roam around, lol... this thing might be it. dont really know yet till i play with it some.
