No Stu, charged with compresses air. My Benjamin Marauder gets "pumped" up to 3000 psi and will shoot about 50-60 full power loads on a single charge. It takes a special bicycle type pump to get that kind of pressure and it takes some pumping too. Once they are pumped up though, they are a whole lot of fun! There are also electric pumps that will do it but pretty pricey. You could also get a scuba tank and covert it or a carbon fiber tank and have your local fire department fill them for you if they will. I'd love to have a CF tank but they are about $600 bucks... Once charged though, you shoot an awful lot off that tank. They fill to 4500 lbs and with the regulator will supply whatever lbs your gun will handle. You can also shoot directly off the tank.
My Marauder is .177. I would love a .25 though, it could take the place of a 22 rimfire easily. The .177 is super accurate inside and outside out to around 30 yards. I've made shots on starlings up to 40-50 yards with no wind but I don't have a lot of confidence in them. Heavier pellets, JSB Xact at 10.34 grains to be exact are very very accurate and I'm well stocked in them. The light 7.5 grains pellets are too fast and not accurate at all but will actually shoot fine when the pressure gets below 2000psi. They are slower then and will group. Those Game 1200 fps pellets are super light and completely inaccurate... Don't waste your money or time on them. Think CCI Stingers 22 rimfire and you know what I'm talking about.
PCP aren't hold sensitive like a springer air rifle is. Mine has a 10 shot clip, adjustable trigger and adjustable pressure to change velocity. It can also be filled with CO2 for lots of shots but its much lower pressure so velocity would suffer with heavier pellets. I think the CO2 would work fine for the light pellets though and you could probably shoot all day on a charge.
The PCP's are pretty amazing and lots of fun. I didn't check the video but I think it's an EdgunUSA or Tedsholdover video (same guy). He has lots of PCP videos and really, really knows his stuff. He's won a national event too and has a video where he tells how he did. Pretty impressive guy. Love his slow motion shots where you see the pellet hitting the target!
